How to cope with things you can't change?

Though not all situations that you can "just do something about it, then!" are easy, true. But for some people there's a feeling of helplessness in being in a situation you can't change. For example, the death of a loved one or infertility.

How do you deal with tough situations there's nothing you can do about?

This is so hard...as women we tend to like to fix everything. But we can't. Writing it all down helps me. Even if it's just a jumbled mess of words it kind of helps me release it. Prayer is a big release as well. Sometimes when I write, I write letters to God. It's kind of my way of releasing the situation to Him and letting go.

I love the idea of writing letters to God. Writing is a big outlet for me as well, but I had never thought of that.
