My Laundry Room

We live in a 109 year old house. I love old houses. There is a lot of benefit to old houses...if you know how to fix things. Unfortunately for us, we do not. This house has many, many, many problem...in fact it might be better served to just get burned down.My laundry room is in a heated room in the garage. I absolutely hate doing laundry when it is dark outside. I just hate it. I don't like walking in the dark. I don't like having to carry things in the dark. I've been begging hubby to pay somebody to give me hookups in a corner of the dining room trying to reason with him that it would heat the house in the winter. I don't think he believes me. :/ Not that we have the money for that anyway.
It's also a small, cramped space with very little room to turn around-doing laundry gets interesting. I feel sorry for whatever delivery guy gets to uninstall and reinstall either appliance when we get new ones.

Do you like your laundry room?

It's not so bad in the spring/summer/fall.. Last winter it was below zero for weeks at a time and I had to bundle up.

I saw on animal planet that bug bombs fine with on spiders or any other bug that has hair on its body because they can sense the poison before it "gets" to them and they leave till it is gone. :-(

Me either, but neither can bugs or rodents. Peppermint essential oil repels spiders if you have it.

I'm not sure if I would use them out there. I do wish I had room for baskets for towels. But I always fold on the couch.
