What a Day, and It's Not Even Over...

My little girl, gotta love her.
It's been one of those days. One of those days when you feel older than you are because you are...EXHAUSTED.
My daughter went around the house, locking, shutting, and slamming doors for most of the day. You tell her what to do and it's World War Three. This time, she locked the bathroom door and she wasn't even in it. Of course I had laundry in there that needed to come out of the dryer. Thankfully, no one had to pee at that moment.
When asked why, I was given three different stories as to why she locked it. After that, she just ignored me. Of course, it's an older home so we don't have a key. Instead, we use a Phillips screwdriver, which mysteriously disappeared, as does everything around here. So, I searched my hubby's tool box, yet no luck. So I tried other items that may work, nope. So, I had to call my brother-in-law (next door) to borrow some tools. Of course, they were too big to fit into the hole, so I had to take the entire door handle off. Sigh.
To top it off, the phone has been ringing off and on since 7 am this morning from a school recruiter, which neither of us requested. And, I am still trying to go through my pantry and reorganize my dining room and kitchen (while she "pleasantly" takes items and organizers from the kitchen, all while I think I am losing my mind because I know I placed them on the counter)...all with a fussy, teething baby. :D

I do look back on days like these and laugh though...and cry a little.
