And the in-laws strike again

My cleaning for this week went out the window. I have two weeks to get any sellable items out of my mother-in-law's basement before the bank forecloses on my brother-in-law's house and they inevitably come to steal what they can. My back is going to hate me.
And no, i don't feel sorry for them. They chose not to pay the mortgage and he chose to quit his job without another source of income lined up. You just don't do that when you have kids.

It's a huge mess.. this just touches the surface.. My MIL finally got some gumption and is flat out telling them they cannot move into her house. I understand wanting to help your kids in every way, but she has no retirement left thanks to him. He's 40 years old for pete's sake he needs to take care of his own and his mom, not expect his 65 year old mom to take care of them. I wish we could just take her and get out of the state.. but we can't.

LOL So true. I stopped letting them bug me for the most part. At least hubby and his brother are talking, that's what matters. But when they take money from mom who is struggling to pay bills who in turn has to come to us to buy groceries, and we will not tell her no-she's mom, it's our job to take care of her..... It's just frustrating that they will take stuff from somebody who already has nothing.

I'm not sure whether to 'like' that or not. It's so true, though.
