To the doctor's...

I am going to a specialist today to try to get some answers about the chronic pain I've been having. Anyone else dealing with a chronic illness? How do you deal with your kids on bad days? I've been taking pain pills and they knock me out...it has been difficult with two energetic, dare-devil children!

For the fibromyalgia I just take it easy when I need to. Medication helps a lot but doesn't always.

If you're dealing with endometriosis the surgery can make you feel better because they will likely clear any adhesion and scar tissue. It's something that could clear you up or may not depending if the endometriosis has spread. Either way that seems to be the best way to diagnose like your doctor said.

I have chronic pain due to an automobile accident when I was a teenager. It permanently messed up my ribs and back. I found the most relief from chiropractic care, but it was really expensive. If you're not familiar with chiropractic care, it's an on-going treatment. It doesn't just fix the problem. I had to go every two weeks indefinitely. I just can't afford that. When I see regular doctors, nothing shows up on XRays. They think it's cartilage damage. Maybe physical therapy? Have they done blood work on you? They recently tested me for Lupus but my blood work came back fine. I hate relying on pain medication all the time. With daily pain, taking that stuff regularly can really damage your body over time.

I am not dealing with chronic pain. Sorry that you are. Hoping you get more answers soon. I know it was challenging during my pregnancies to keep up with little ones on some days so I can only imagine what it would be like with chronic pain.

My hubby has bad arthritis and spinal pain. My heart goes out to you, and I'll be praying. I hope you find out the source.

It was thought I had Lupus since I was a teen. I found out at 29 that it was Fibromyalgia, but mine is not too severe as of right now.
My hubby has to take Iboprofun. I cannot take any asprin due to an erupted esophagus two years ago.
