You're suspended!

Even the best of kids can make stupid mistakes and find themselves suspended from school.

Did you ever get suspended from school?

How would you handle your child getting suspended?

    Ha!

I never got suspended.. but I did get 2 detentions in ONE day at the end of my senior year of High School.. and it was pretty comical to say the least. I was a goodie goodie, never did anything array or wrong.. one that day was for passing a hilarious note about my own boyfriend and a friend's boyfriend that a teacher intercepted.. so funny actually.. and the next was because my cell phone went off in a class.. oops! Lucky for me and my friend.. the teacher loved us and brought us food during the after school hours we had to serve.. ha!

I was one of those, "Goody Goody's, too. That's funny they gave you detention at the end of your senior year....you weren't coming back.

I almost did a couple of times...mostly for fighting. But then I would cry and get out of it :-) I eventually learned to fight off of school property.

No. I was threatened with it for picking on the freshman when I was a senior. But I never was. My daughter was in preschool. :/
She was babysat by a very racist great grandma who used every word in the book you could think of-but never when other adults were around... Adrianna got mad at a kid at school and repeated those words. The other parents and the principal agreed there's no way she knew what the words meant, and it didn't faze the other child.. but rules are rules and she had to be suspended.

... Heehee forgot to finish. Grandpa was the one that picked her up when they called.. He put a bar of soap between her lips and proceeded to lecture for the next hour on why she shouldn't repeat great grandma.

I never got suspended nor detention. I was a "Goody Two Shoes" as people still call me. I did, however, have to write sentences and was asked to leave the class for talking. But, people kept talking to me, so I responded.
Yeppers, I always did what I was told when I was told to do it. Blah, blah, blah. I was always afraid of getting in trouble and disappointing my mom. And, I think from seeing three out of four of my older sisters constantly in trouble and how much it stressed my mom out, made me do some serious thinking.

I was also a little church mouse and bookworm. LOL

I know all of my sisters had detention, suspension, and one was nearly expelled (minus one). My mom is a single mother to six girls. My sister Holly and I never got in trouble. I joke with my mom and say, "Two out of six isn't bad. That's one third!" Haha

Hmm? How would I handle it? It would depend on why he or she got suspended. Jonah is still too young to attend school, but Jaina well...her behavior in school has improved. But she was enrolled in a summer program and some days they had "swim days." She would refuse to get out of the pool when it was time to leave, and so it was a struggle. She was banned from swimming with them. Jaina is my step-daughter. When we took her to the lake, she kindly got out when her dad asked her to...he does the count down, and right now that is working. I usually just give the "Mommy stare down" like my mother did and that works for me. Ha ha!

I never got in trouble at school, that was my sister and brother that did that. I was an organized type of person and did things the way they should be done and still do to this day. I was that way as a teenager too.
