The Best and Worst

For those of you who have daughters what are the qualities you would like her to have? Personally I would like Destiny (crazy, as i call her) to be strong and independent and not put up with boys stupid bullshit. She is so very emotional sometimes and stubborn. She is overly dramatic about almost everything. She gets a scrape and the world is coming to an end or she gets sent to her room and she moans no one loves her.. I hope she grows out of that.

I want her to be strong, independent but not afraid to ask for help when she needs it. I would love her to put God first and follow a Christ-like path. I want her to treat others kindly and without judgement.

Right now, she is my little Diva and is so stubborn. She worries about her looks (which I cannot understand why), slams doors when told what to do, and has a not so pleasant attitude at times. She is growing up way too fast, and I don't like it.

Laura you are lucky. My two boys are great. One we dont get very often as he is in Georgia and we are in ohio. But Dylan is full time and he is freaking awesome, he gets straight A's in school is a phenomenal baseball player that has college scouts already looking at him plays football and wrestles. Last year we Dyed his mowhawk blue for baseball and he is rarely every mouthy.
Then there is Destiny, she is quite frankly a mouthy bitch "C" word sometimes.. She wrestled last year but she never listened at practice. She does however ride horses and has since she was 3. She is amazing with them. A talent that she is quite proud of. She also likes to shoot her brothers .22 single shot. Her dad and papa are active hunters. She has outwardly expressed that she does not want to be anything like her birth mother but more like me. I hope she is stronger than I am and smarter too.

I don't have a daughter yet, but I want my future daughters to be strong, independent, and able to make their own choices. I don't want them to buy into the stereotypes or give a hoot about what anyone thinks of what they want to do with their lives, but live passionately and true to themselves.

I am a photographer and I am a step mom to three awesome kids. I live with my boyfriend and his two youngest children. He has custody of them. The oldest lives with his mom in Georgia. My youngest two do not see their real mother.
