Flat head syndrome

Have any of your baby's had this? Andrews doctor said he has flat head syndrome and needs to go see a doctor about getting him a correctional helmet . Does any one know of a way to fix the problem with out a helmet? Because we really don't have the 3,000 dollars to pay for that.

ive never heard of this but today the doctor told me that my sons left side of his head is flat cuz of him always turning his head to the left so i have to find away to get him to start turning his head to the right and thats a lot of money for a helmet

i can take his head and turn it to the right but he will turn it back to the left and if i lay him on his side he will roll back over and but when he lays on his belly he lays on his belly he will lay on the left side of his head which i dont like it when he sleeps on his belly unless its at nap time when he is on the floor but very seldom does he fall asleep like that so i dont know what to do right now he is asleep and he is laying on the back of his head

Goodness! That's rather pricey for a helmet, and one that may even cause discomfort. I have seen some babies with flat heads but they do not wear the helmet. I agree with the ladies above, it will correct itself if you lay him in different positions and, as Megsuggested, plenty of tummy time so the back of his head isn't always down. If he does tummy time, try to increase it a little. I hope he won't need that helmet, either.
