My Son doesn't want to eat...

My son just turned 7 months Monday. The past two days he does not want to eat his baby food (he has been eating baby food since 4 months) Now he just wants bottles. and he will drink maybe 4-6 oz at a time and only 4 times a day... What's going on with him??? Any ideas??

My little guy is 11 months and went through the same thing. He is just now eating finger foods (like just started yesterday). He had been only taking bottles for the last few months and he used to religiously eat his baby food twice a day then nothing. I noticed some babies just don't want the jars anymore and only want what we're eating. Maybe just let him drink his bubbas until he decides he wants food, he's still little so as long as he's getting his nutrition mainly from formula/breast milk no need to worry about him at all.

Sometimes they just don't eat. Both breanika and Bentley went through this. Don't worry he'll eat when he's hungry. In the mean time just keep trying and try not to stress to much GOOD LUCK! (:

Oh and his doctor told me as long as he gets 20-24oz in a 24 hour period not to worry. But that was at my sons 9 month checkup so your guy may not need that much. Like I said, if he's not losing weight and is growing properly no need to worry at all. I used to stress big time because I'm like "Joey is gonna be the only 1 year old not eating regular food and not on milk" but I say who cares as long as he's growing.

What kind of food is it? Do you make your own or is it store bought? Also do you give him a bottle before or after a meal? I would increase the amount in the bottle until he gets a bigger appetite for his solids again, also try a different type of food, maybe he just doesn't like the consistency.

I know right now with it being so hot out my son eats very little as it starts to warm up during the day. But we also don't have any A/C. When he is teething he eats less. If I tried to give him the same thing too often he would stop eating it. And sometimes they just don't feel like eating. At that age most of their nutrients come from breast milk or formula so as long as he is getting that then that is good :-)

Elryc will be 1 this sunday and feed him solids when he was 5 1/2 months 3 meals a day and still breastfeed 6-8 times. then at 8 1/2 months he wasn't interested in food and i had trouble getting him to eat 1 meal a day, still only 6-8 times he just wanted breastmilk. at 10 months he only wanted what was on our plates even if we put it in his bowl he wanted what was on our plates and still 6-8 times breastmilk. i was told that as long as they are maintaining and or gaining good weight there is nothing to worry about. they go through phases and or could be teething

My daughter goes through phases where she does not want to eat anything. During this time, we discovered she only wanted foods she could feed herself. As long as they are getting enough breast milk/formula, I would not be concerned about it. If they don't want it, let it go and try again the next day. Eventually they will like it again.

Maybe he isn't interested in it anymore. Have you tried giving him real food? Or he could be teething?

Elise is the same way she ate baby food a lot when she was 5 to 8 months now she wants nothing to do with it! She will only eat what I eat and at 1 year old she wants to bf all day every day! I sometimes trick her and put dices of sweet potatoes and other veggies in the bean stew and she likes the taste better. I still offer baby food every once in a while even is she doesn't eat it.
