road trip with high risk pregnancy
Well I am going too visit my sister she lives in another city about 5-6 hours away a little concern since I am high risk but I feel like every thing will be ok WHAT DO YOU MOMS THINK ?
I think that if you stop every so often to get out and stretch you should be ok...and always check with the doc first :-)
Good Morning Kandi! I agree with Amy, making additional stops to stretch and consult your Dr. they may be able to give you any additional tips. Bring a cooler with some water to stay hydrated and possibly plastic bag/grocery bag to put ice into to place into a long tube sock to make a lil cool neck wrap to keep you cool. don't forget to do some calf exercises since traveling for long periods can contribute to blood clotting. Best of luck and many wishes for a safe trip.
Yes I will and too answer your question I am high risk because of my congestive heart failure I obtained after having my daughter (stillborn) and obtaining sepsis a blood infection that affected my lungs and heart so now they are worried about my heart during this pregnancy
Well I just called my doctor and I am awaiting a answer from him so I will keep you ladies updated
So he just got back too me and said its ok as long as I am driving and take breaks so its a GO for the trip very happy cause I haven't seen my sis in so long and best part she is driving lol so I will be well rested the whole way there and back. ;)
Oh good! I'm glad you get to go on your trip :-)
Not too much usually once a year so I am really happy
Thanks ladies for your advice once again you were great thank you
