Not sleeping anymore

My son used to sleep with no problem through the night. Now, almost every hour he's waking up. Tossing and turning...he's 5.5 months old and teething a little, but would that be the cause? Would Tylenol help? Any suggestions would be appreciated :)

That could be the cause of it. Plus sometimes babies change their sleeping patterns, which is very frustrating. lol I know my son changed his sleeping patterns and habits so many times over the first year it about drove me crazy.

It is pretty normal for sleeping habits to change for the worst around this time. A lot of developmental changes are going on. Have you tried to feed him more breastmilk or formula? I only give Tylenol for a fever, it is a medication with risks so I don't want to give it unless there is a medical reason.

It could be teething, it could be a growth spurt causing him to wake up in hunger. I rarely give/gave Tylenol to mine but it was always as a last resort when I did.

My son did that when he was going through a growth spurt and teething. His teeth came through at six months old but each baby is different. I use teething tablets made from natural products instead of Tylonel. And, they can alter their sleeping patterns, unfortunately. It drives me bananas. Lol

We've purchased an amber teething necklace and that has been helping, too.
