More information in eggs and sperm than just genes

Wow! We are learning so much about how every bit of our environment really does get passed along to our offspring.
"IN addition to matching up eye and hair colour, would-be-parents seeking eggs or sperm for IVF or surrogacy may run obesity, infection and stress checks on donors if current research patterns continue to hold true.

University of Adelaide scientists have published a review showing that rather than just being packages of genetic information, eggs and sperm also act as environmental messengers from generation to generation."

You are more than what you eat, and so are your kids!…

I'm not sure I'd pay the money (I'm guessing it's not cheap, but I have no idea) to choose eye color, but there are definitely eye colors I'm far more partial to.
