Whew!

Shopping all morning. Taco Bell lunch with hubby, the kids begged for tacos lol. GRoceries finally put away. Van repacked for the trip to Nebraska this weekend-we leave at 4 AMish.

The kids will sleep for half the trip. :D That's more important to my sanity than the little bit of traffic.

Hope you have a great trip! We use to leave early in the morning too, but with Chicago traffic, that was more of a factor for us. The children going back to sleep was a bonus!

That's an advantage to living in the middle of nowhere. :D

It really doesn't matter if we live in a rural area or the suburbs, in order to get to Canada we have to travel through Chicago traffic, unless we want to add more time onto our trip. It's just one of those things.

Yeah, I hate driving in cities. For me, it's just the middle of nowhere so not much traffic beyond tractors and cattle trucks.

I do like driving through rural areas on the trip to Canada. Next time we want to drive through the states and when we last looked there is a lot of construction. :( But we want to show the children more states and possibly make a few tourist stops along the way. We'll see.
