Mamas.. when did you introduce sippy cups to your little one?
Monroe's doctor said after he eats food now I can give him a sippy cup with a bit of water in it to slowly teach him to drink after he eats :) Eeek! Growing up!
I think they were around one, but that was the recommendation when mine were little. If your doctor says it's a good idea then go for it! :)
I started trying after Ben's 1st Birthday and he doesn't care for it. He's happy with his bottle ;)
Tristen was about 6 months but he didn't like it until we got him a sippy cup with a straw.
I don't remember exactly when, though it was when she had been eating baby foods and cheerios well. It must have been around 8 months or so. It took her a month or so to like it, now she loves it and looks forward to it with each meal! We only give her water in it for now.
I have a few for Jonah. They even have some that transition with two different rubber nipples to make it easier on the kiddos and they have handles on both sides to help them hold it. I actually two different kinds of sippy cups. I put a little baby juice diluted with water in it or just a little water (plain) in his and introduce it a few times during the days.
I introduced a sippy to Ozzie when he was like 11 month with water and that's the only way he wanted to drink water ( whatever works to do drink H2O) but Wilber wasn't having that until I can say 14 month.. I spoke to Ozzie doctor and she did say that it was best after any solid meal!
When they started real food instead of just milk. Eva wouldn't use them if they had a valve, so she had a fun time learning lol.
