Try this with me?
I saw my doctor today and (not pregnant) he gave me an eating plan to try for a month. He says it has helped with some of his other patients who were struggling to get pregnant. He says after a month this becomes second nature and you want to keep going this way.
So here it goes, I am starting tomorrow seeing as I have to go shopping :)
Breakfast: oatmeal, 3/4C Cooked, 1teaspoon honey and half a pear
Snack: 1 slice rye toast smeared with 1teaspoon peanut butter, 1C whole milk
Lunch: 3oz (cooked weight) lean meat, 4oz cooked weight carbs - rice/ pasta/ potatoes etc and up to 2C vegetables. (Max 1Tablespoon butter for cooking)
Snack: 12 almonds or cashew nuts - roasted with no added salt
Dinner: Same as lunch
Snack: 4oz natural yogurt.
Maximum 3 cups of coffee or regular tea (5 cups herbal tea) every day
And Sunday is your treat day.
Also do 30mins cardio 3 times a week.
So as I am willing to give anything a try Im going for it and thought that any of you who are willing could do it with me.
Please bear in mind that this is not specifically for weight loss though if you are on the larger side like me you will probably lose some.
This plan is to get you eating healthier and get all your nutritional needs met in preparation for pregnancy. It can also help regulate your hormones so for the first few days you may feel light headed, emotional and VERY tired.
So if you choose to do this with me then good luck and if not, please hold thumbs for me :)
Might just be that it is the first day but Im loving the feeling of being alert without extra coffee and dipping into the mnms lol.
Carlene, I hope this works for you too!
