Stop taking nude selfies, girls!

I really liked this article and felt that it truly embodied much of what I feel about this latest hack on celebrity nude photos. Really, a guy can love you without you sexting nude pics...Shocking but true! Certainly, he's more likely to respect you.

I totally disagree with this. If a grown woman wants to take pictures of herself nude then that is her business. It should not be a reason to love or not love a person, it should not be a matter of respect in a slut shaming culture and it should not ever be thought of as "that's what you get" just because a woman is comfortable in her sexuality.

This has nothing at all to do with being modest. It's not an either/or situation!

Sure, you can take the pictures but then don't be shocked by the aftermath. I couldn't care less if people take pictures, certainly not grown women. But I think it's sad that teenage girls think they need to do this to be popular. And that is pretty common in high school now...

Also, the point is that they are being "slut shamed" now with these pics. What's the point of them anyway?

I never said they were sluts. I said that's what was happening in society when these pictures get leaked. I think we all - men and women - should be more modest in our behaviour. Just like I don't walk around talking about how much money I have or showing off my new jewellery, I don't post pictures of my boobs. Both are private.

I don't disagree with it being private. But like with the actress they talked about, her pictures were private and some jerk hacked her phone and shared the pictures. She did not post them. So the act of taking the nude selfie is not the issue. The issue is who you can trust to share that with and how much you trust electronics not being hacked. And honestly, we shouldn't HAVE to have that paranoia because there is nothing wrong with the nude female body. Only that society sees it as taboo to be comfortable with it.

This is true. I shake my head at them because all of this will follow them into adulthood.

If you're gonna do it, keep it to you. develop the pictures yourself and do not store them on the cloud. Anything digital will be traced.

I agree. And only do it if YOU want to, not because some guy is pressuring you or you want some guy's attention.
