Are all OPKs created equal?

When I get pregnancy tests, I usually just get the cheapest of the cheap and they've always worked fine for me.

Is the same normally true of ovulation predictor kits? I don't have much experience with them, but I've seen they range very widely in their price.

Is there one in particular you stick to?

I think they use the same premise as a pregnancy test, a little litmus paper that turns a different color if a certain amount of whatever hormone (I'm not sure which hormone OPKs test for... Katie, do you know?) is present in your urine.
