Let's say your child has a Nintendo DS handheld system. Theirs suddenly goes missing after a weekend of having friends over. The next time you see one of the friends they are carrying around a Nintendo DS that is the exact same color as the one your child lost and it has the game in it that was in yours when it went missing. The child says they just got the system and the game.

This is all purely hypothetical, I am just curious. How would you handle this situation?

      I would ask the kid how they got it too... One thing my father always did to my electronics was carve my name somewhere non obvious, just in case. I will probably do the same.
