kids

I dont know how to get my kids to understand the value of things. This week my oldest has broken numerous things including the door to the entertainment center. Any tips on how to get them to understand value??? I have tried simply explaining it but I dont think they understand

Maybe make them "pay" for what they break with a toy or something they like. That way it gets on their level of what is important. Mommies things are just as important and valuable as your toy. You could always let them earn the toy back. That way they get the instant lesson and then still learn the lesson that things have to be earned and that they have value.

Have they had to do work to "help pay" for it? Obviously they're not getting jobs at their age, but you know what I mean.
