Disney parks disability fast pass

I took my daughter to Disney World over ten years ago. At the time you could go to the Fast Pass kiosk and get a time to return for the ride without the long wait times. We utilized it a few times and I liked being able to use it.

Disney has a disability pass now for people and it sounds like it works just like a Fast Pass. As far as I know, both services are free.

What I don't understand is, why bother getting the disability pass if you can use the fast pass service at any time? Have they started charging for fast pass?

That doesn't make sense to me. Last time I went, I don't think the fastpass was free, but I could've just been missing something. If tha's the case though, maybe the difference is the disability pass is a free fast pass.

The normal fast pass, you are typically only allowed so many. I know when I had my Disney annual pass I could only do one fast track per day.
They changed the disability pass to be more like a fast track because before they did it to where if you were disabled your whole party just went to the front of the line and people were going on craigslist and "selling" their disability passes. So a family would pay them and they would go with the family to Disney and then never have to wait in line. Now they have to get a time to return to the attraction like a fast pass but they can do that for as many rides as they want.

I seen it on the news. It is so crazy what people will do for money.

Typically the whole family would be able to go on the ride at the same time. I don't think they changed that part.

I'm sure he would qualify. I think you go to the customer service center once you are inside Disneyland. You could always ask them at the ticket counter as well. I'm sure they would know. Once you have it you just get a return time for an attraction and then you don't have to wait in the lines. They used to do it where you got in the attraction right away but because so many people took advantage of it they stopped doing it that way.
