Was this already discussed?

I tried searching for Ray Rice but did not find anything so I apologize if this topic was already covered. I find it ridiculous how major league sports teams try to protect these players' bad behavior. It reminds me of stories of high schools protecting their favorite jocks. When will these men be held accountable? This video is awful, by the way, if you have not already seen it.

Any thoughts on the abusive behavior of sports stars?

They made the penalty stronger for domestic violence. First offense is six game suspension, second is banned from playing in NFL.

They need to be held accountable.

This team is the WORST! Not only did they glorify a player at the Super Bowl who helped murder 2 people and got away with it...now they do this! It's revolting. NFL players are supposed to be held to a higher standard if conduct because of their spotlight in the public and their status as basically automatic role models for kids...it's just disgusting what they let them get away with.

Um this makes me sick.. it makes me more sick knowing, you KNOW, the NFL saw this video and is pretending they didn't... it's all about money to them, that's it. They would rather make a girl feel bad about coming forward and making the big wig players look bad, than rather being a MORAL AND GOOD PERSON.. oh this gets me so heated!! I am also disheartened about the whole thing and confused why his wife is defending him.. I know being in an abusive relationship would be hard and she might feel like she needs to stay.. but I really can't wrap my head around him punching her in the HEAD and not even doing anything but drag her out of an elevator..

I know. Did you all see the blurb about the woman who stared the hashtag #WhyIStayed and how it's gone viral. She was interviewed by Robin Robins, who also had Dr. Phil there too. It was a good take on why women stay.

She is defending him because she loves him and believes he will change. I'm sure every time he's touched her within three hours he is apologizing like there's no tomorrow. Women in abusive relationships don't understand that it won't end. They love their man and will do anything for him.
As for the NFL side. He has been suspended without pay indefinitely.
