Super parent pressure taking mental toll

I can see how the pressure we put on ourselves for a perfect birth, to be the best parents, etc. could start taking its toll on us. I think the key is to realize we are not perfect and life happens. I know it took me a few years to realize this.

How do you take the pressure off yourself as a parent?

I know I am guilty of this. I thought I would be "Super Mom" with a neat and tidy home, a career, all while balancing sleep deprivation, two kids, cleaning, a job, and my marriage. I was wrong. Now, if the house is a little messy or a lot, I try not to stress about it--but I am still trying on that part. Lol
