Cases like this make my blood nearly boil.....

What would you do if you chose a certain medical path for your child and a nurse or hospital did this to you?

I applaud and admire the Judge for ruling as he did

But Leah in the Amish community fertility is important....

I also think it should be the parents decision, not the child's (though if old enough can certainly voice their opinion), not the hospital, and certainly not a random nurse.

It is a known fact that the quality of life goes down hill for many people who go through chemo. That could be part of the parents concern too. It is the parents right to choose to try alternative natural care should they desire. This is when hospitals and medical professionals get too big for their own britches in thinking they know what is best for someone else's child.

15% is still high for a lot of parents and should make any parent consider alternative care should they so choose.
