How did your mother's birth experience influence yours?

My mom had fairly easy pregnancies and births, despite the fact she smoked in 2-3 of four of her pregnancies, with only one being a bit premature. I think subconsciously her can-do attitude and positive births affected me because I wanted natural births.

My moms births were all natural and the longest lasted just under 2 hours from start to finish. With my brother she barely made it to the hospital and actually had him outside at the hospital in a covered walkway. I should have been a c-section because the chord was wrapped around my throat but she had me while the doctors were arguing about if they should get her ready for the c-section or not. I never went into labor so I'm not sure how it would have gone for me. I had a c-section partly from the chord being wrapped around Tristen's neck.

My mom had a C-section with me but felt zero contractions. It was also a quick labor. I had a C-section with my son and felt no contractions, too.

I wanted a natural birth but my small pelvic bones and birth canal put a stop to that.
