Genetic testing.

One thing Doctors seem to really push for is genetic testing. They do not seem to like that we have chosen not to do any. Because of my age it puts me at a higher risk and I understand that, but it would not change anything for me so I don't see the need for me to do it. They pushed it when I was pregnant with Tristen as well. Did you do genetic testing? Would you do it again?

I'm not against genetic testing, but wouldn't do it if it wouldn't change anything for me. Some women prefer to be ready and do a test. I did amniocentesis when I was pregnant with my second child because the ultrasound showed some abnormalities. Trisomy 18 was suspected. I did because I wanted to know what to do, what to expect. Unfortunately, 2 weeks later our son was born, lived 30 minutes and passed away.

What a hard thing to go through! I'm so sorry. I think if they found something wrong through normal ultrasound I would have the testing done.

I'm one of those people that if I know I will worry and drive myself crazy over it. I don't know if knowing ahead of time would be good for me.

I did with Adrianna.. But I haven't with any of the rest. The baby is going to be how God made it so what difference does it make?

That is what the doctor sort of said too. We can't change it and I don't think the stress if it would be good for me.
