Would you tell them their kid stole?

So awhile back I posted about my sons Nintendo 3DS going missing. Long story short we found out the little boy who was staying the night stole it. When I confronted the child he did give it back.

What I am trying to decide is if I should tell the grandmother? He lives with his grandmother and I truly like her as a person. They are my next door neighbors and the kids all like to play together. I know she's having a rough time, she didn't expect to be raising her grand children and she has medical issues herself. I just don't know if I want to add this on top of her already stressful life, but at the same time I would want to know if it was my kid doing something like that.

Thoughts?

I would tell her. She can't correct a behavior if she doesn't know about it. That way it puts your mind at ease as well.

Most definitely You should tell her for the simple fact you know what can happen next, I truly don't condoned this kind of behavior due to the fact that if we as parents don't show them that they are consequences to all there actions then they will think is ok to do anything else and even drag your child in there messy confused life! He did it once and got again with it ( as far as you not mentioning to his grandmother) what makes you think he won't do it again even worse! BEST OF LUCK IN THIS SITUATION!
