Staying at work up to labor day

So I am staying at work until I start labor, due in 8 days... but I am getting really annoyed at the constant comments from my co-workers about "Oh look she's here today" and "Are you having labor pains?" when I am just sitting at my desk working. No, I'm not having labor pains or I would be at home. I'm not just going to explode a baby out onto the desk at any moment... It's getting REALLY old... I'm not even over due yet!! These women are pretty much all mothers, they should know labor is not going to be 5 minutes and BOOM baby at my desk... They are all freaked out that my waters will break at work and I just roll my eyes because really, I can't control when, where, or IF my waters break. Maybe it's just me being ready for baby now or hormonal or a combination of all of it, but every time they make a comment (which is any time they walk by my office or really any time they see me at all) I just want to yell at them to STFU and stop bugging me about it! Yeah, probably almost definitely hormonal craziness... hahahaha

I worked as long as possible with my son and I am with you...the constant comments are so annoying. I would always tell them, "no I had the baby last night but had them put it back in so I could come to work today" or something equally sarcastic. lol

LOL Next person to comment about your water breaking tell them it's a sterial fluid so nothing will be contaminated, just wet. :D You are strong. I had to stop at 32 weeks.

Hang in there! I worked up until when my baby girl was born, though I was able to work from home those last few weeks and came in the office one day each week. It made things so much easier for me! And then I did not have to listen to the comments, just read and respond to the email comments.
