1 year old tantrums

I'm at a list at what yo do. My son will not listen to me. If he father tells him to stop he immediately stops. I tell him to stop he laughs I try to redirect the behavior and he screams and goes right back to it. This is the second night in a row that's it's turned into a huge tantrum and I just don't know what to do anymore

Are you using a firm voice? Are you giving him even an ounce of encouragement with a smile? Sometimes they take that to mean you don't mean what you say. Try to look serious, if you can. Sometimes the little rascals just make us want to laugh with their antics. If all else fails. Ignore him, as long as he's safe and not getting into trouble, of course.
I realized I have to use the same voice/tone I used when yelling at the cat for getting into something he should not be when my daughter is doing something I do not want her to be doing. Then she knows it is not a good thing and usually stops. Otherwise, I take her and set her away from that location, from me and from toys for a few seconds. That has been working most of the time for me!
