Step son

I have an issue with my oldest step sons mom. They live in georgia and we live in ohio. we call down there and either no one answers or if his two younger siblings call his mothers bf answers and makes up an excuse as to why he cant come to the phone... no one that we know of has been able to talk to him in almost 3 weeks... any LEGAL suggestions???

I know our custody order has a stipulation that says my husband is granted phone access to his son. If you find someone at the police station there who will listen (this is the hard part) and you have an order that says he is entitled to phone time with his son, then you can fax them the court order and they must by law enforce it. If your order does not state this then I would file to have it amended. Then keep records of all the times you tried to call and were refused phone time. If it continues to be a problem you can file contempt of court charges.

We have had to do that a few times. It is not easy when one parent is not willing to be civil. I am sorry you are going through this. I am not "allowed" to speak to my step son according to his Mom. Being a step-mom is probably the hardest thing I have ever done.

I am a photographer and I am a step mom to three awesome kids. I live with my boyfriend and his two youngest children. He has custody of them. The oldest lives with his mom in Georgia. My youngest two do not see their real mother.
