Turkey

We got a turkey for cheap... so I baked it today. :/ turkey and I do not get along. The chart said 4 hours. So it cooked for 4 hours. Wasn't done. An hour later it was done enough I could cut some off so we could finally have supper. It was cold the touch after 5 hours in the oven.. 6 1/2 hours after I put it in the oven, it's finally completely done.

You see, that's what my logic was telling me.. But the cooking charts I was reading said it didn't need that long for size the tag said.

Oh heck. I can't peel them and keep them smooth. I always let the water come to a hard boil. Stick a lid on it, shut the burner off and let it sit.

I saw this on the news the other day. An easy way to make hard boil eggs is to put them in a cupcake pan and bake them for 30 minutes at 325. Have not tried it though I might one of these days!

I don't think I have ever had any trouble with turkey but I am always worried that it won't turn out right or that it won't get done in time and then I have just wasted hours. lol

Nope, it was thawed. Turkey is not a favorite here.. But for $1.09 a pound, we can deal lol.

It didn't turn out too bad once it was cooked.
