Do you parent all of your children the same?

My daughter pointed something out to me the other day, and she was right. I don't do things the same with my son as I did with her, sometimes.

The example: We were in a store and Bub was dawdling, didn't want to leave the aisle he was on. Mini turns to me and says "Why don't you just start walking away? That's what you used to do to me, and it worked."

She's right, I totally did that, lol. I don't know if it is because of Bub's aspergers but I tend to expect a little less from him than I did her. Good lesson learned. And yes we started walking away from him. And yes, he did follow.

I try to keep the same basic principles.. But not every kid is the same, so sometimes you have to tweak things a little to help the child understand... Does that make any sense?
    LOL I know!
