Well. That explains it.

My daughter was at my mom's this past weekend. ( I couldn't go because of the car situation :( boo, but we got to Skype!! :D).. They had to go to the library to skype because mom doesn't have internet at home and while we were figuring it out (you try and tell your mother how to work a computer six hours away aye aye aye), Adrianna went and checked out a book to read.. When mom took her back to her other grandma's, she told Adrianna she could read the book there then take it back to the library when she was done. The other grandma told mom 'oh that's ok, she doesn't have time to read at home anyway'.

No wonder that child can't read! She reads on a 2nd grade level in 4th grade. UGH. Frustrating.. I had figured, but it shocked me more that it was readily admitted when they hound me about making sure she reads.

Can't read when the TV is constantly on.

In all fairness, I'm guilty of running the TV too much too.. But I'm working on shutting it off more... and she has to read when she's here.

LOL Thanks for that.

But yeah.. every time I call she can't hear because the TV is blaring.. I can hear it clearly over the phone.

How does a kid not have time to read at home? That is just crazy to me.

Oy. I would find that frustrating too.
