IEP meeting went nicely today

So I had Bub's meeting today. I can totally tell his teacher adores him! She even said "I worry a little bit about how he is going to react when I go out on maternity leave. I know I am a source of comfort for him."

I even told her thank you for being such a great teacher for him this year. She's a God send, really.

I'm a slight bit miffed though that the principal said if he continues to do well then we can terminate the IEP. No, no we cannot. Oh and also I dropped off paperwork where the diagnosis was changed from provisional to actual autism. But somehow they still have the report that says provisional? I'm at a loss, I don't know what else to do except bug the heck out of his counselor YET AGAIN.

I am glad the meeting went well and that the teacher is so nice. I hate when they make comments like not needing and IEP though, they make comments like that to us too.

Lucy doesn't really struggle academically either, she struggles with other things too.

If there is a problem with the IEP, you can go to the Superintendent and/or the school board. My mother had to do this with my little sister. I may have to do this with my daughter because her last school had outrageous goals that she will never meet. I do not want to go over the school but sometimes we have to do what we don't want to.

Aside from that, I am so glad Bub is doing well. :)
