oh wow... great question...

Well I had 3 c ections ... but my first was an emergency c section. I had all the hopes in the world for a natural easy labor! I was in labor for 20 hours and pushed for 3 hours. My mom told me that my daughter was like a little bar of soap... you saw her head coming out with each push then...slip she went back in...it went like that for A LONG time! I pushed and pushed to no avail... then all of a sudden they lost my daughters heartbeat and she went into distress and I had to have an Emergency C-Section... everything went so fast and I did not get to experience even seeing my daughter ripped from my womb because I was having complications and they had to knock me out...so I awoke a few hours later ‚Äčand saw my baby. this was not the greatest birth story but it is one to remember.... and at least i did get to experience pushing! LOL!

I remember you telling me this. That's incredible that she slipped back in like that. So glad you both made it through it!

Meg... I am sure my first labor was not the norm. My water broke before I got to the hospital and the labor was long... and they just had to get baby out... not only did they loose heartbeat but i had minimal fluid... not an optimal case!

I think I pushed for about a hour with each of my daughters.

I think so but not sure. I think your suppose to dilate a cm a hour and push for 1-2 hours.
