Moms of Older Infants...I Need Advice

So, lately, my 9 month old has been fighting sleep more and waking up in the middle of the night (around 1-2 am ) for a bottle. And, he will not fall asleep until 10-11 pm at night. I get up at four am to make my hubby's breakfast and pack his lunch, then I am up at six am to get my daughter ready for school and on the bus at 7 am. My son will not go back to sleep after that (only rarely does he). And, I am one tired mother. I have tried changing his sleeping patterns but nothing helps. It is like he is boycotting sleep. And, he only takes on long nap during the day (maybe 45 - 60 minutes, if I am lucky). It is like he is back to being a newborn again. I know he had gone through a growth spurt a week ago. Could he be going through one again? He also has four teeth trying to come through (upper cuspids and top central incisors). Any tips?

His growth spurt could last several days and teething can definitely interrupt or change sleeping patterns. I nursed mine through it and it seemed to have worked. Are you comfortable bringing him to bed with you for cuddles and comfort? I'd try that.

We do co-sleep when he needs it but it still doesn't help.

I am going to try the Tylonel tonight. He does have a bottle before bed, but maybe I will try some solids with a small bottle of milk.

It seems Tylonel doesn't do much for his either. The teething tablets help some but not a lot. I may try Moltrin. These four teeth are taking forever to bust through. Thanks for the advice, ladies.

Grace has been waking up a lot too.. She doesn't as much the nights she is hungry enough for baby food.

I know how you feel my 10 month old has just started really fighting sleep. I'm planning to try putting him to bed a bit later to try that, but you say you've already tried that in your case. Is there something that soothes him? For my son if I put him in the stroller and wheel him around the house most of the time I can get him to fall asleep when he's putting up a fight. For some it's a drive around the block or rocking to sleep. Another thing to try is laying down and cuddling with him. Sometimes my son just needs cuddles to help him go to sleep.
