I was pretty fortunate and honestly our relationship did not change at all. But we sat down several times before the baby came and talked about how relationships seem to change and came up with ways and a plan to ensure that it did not happen to us. We followed the parenting plan that we put in place and we never had any struggle between us. I think the most important thing that we did was to always make sure that no matter what, we always had time everyday for me and my husband to spend together.

After having James, our relationship grew stronger. We had a specially strong relationship before James was born and it's even stronger now. We had talked about having kids, but not just yet, then when James decided to become apart of our lives it threw us for a curve ball at first. We are happy to say we will be getting married August 8th of next year! David had proposed to me on march 11, 2014 which was exactly a year from when we found out we were expecting our little man. We have just cut down on our nights out, is all. More nights in with close friends and our little man is what we do for the most part now.

Our relationship did not change at all. Sure we do not have as much alone time but we still love each other as we did pre-baby. Keep in mind though, readers, a child cannot save a marriage so do not think having a baby will fix a relationship.

I would say that I am the disciplinarian though. I do not like being the bad cop all of the time though, it bites.
