Have you ever thought about why you cannot shed extra pounds?

What do you think? I thought this was an interesting take on why some of us may not be able to shed extra pounds so easily:

As a fitness instructor and trainer (not currently practicing).. I agree... to an EXTENT... Being tired cannot keep the pounds on... your lethargy CAN...

I had 18 pounds of extra weight that I COULD NOT lose for years... I "tried" everything.. and then.. I hate to be blunt, but then..I REALLY TRIED..

A lot of my past clients were complaining.. they walked every day, did cardio, didn't eat after 7, etc... But, the real trick.. the ONLY trick to really work that weight off.. is I hate to say it, is to really WORK that weight off.. Walking a few miles a DAY is fine.. you will lose.. yes.. But to really Knock it off and out.. you gotta be willing to put your time in.. I mean sweat and grunt and get ugly... Not JUST with cardio... Interval training is the BEST (i think the only) way to do it.. and weights.. I swear by weights..

I think everyone, including me wanted an easy way... to walk and eat healthy can keep it lower.. but if you want real results.. they're there... If you need help, ask me.. Took me a long time and then suddenly I was like, NO MORE.. and I worked out.. Hard for 30 days.. and after 2 months, 15 pounds were gone and I was strong and SLEPT better...
I swear to you.. it's possible... But the truth is.. you gotta work..

And then you will sleep... Exercise cures everything... (you know what I mean)...

Yeah, right now my lethargy is definitely holding me back, but so is the wicked schedule I have right now and I can come up with tons of excuses! Believe me! If I liked running I could run with my daughters, but I have always hated running. The only time I enjoyed it was when I ran with my basketball team, being competitive made me run to keep up with the best of the best. That was a l-o-n-g time ago though.

I tried using videos in the past. It's much easier to walk or garden or shoot hoops with my husband.

We did up until it turned cold. I think we did it for 3-4 weeks. We could probably go this week since it's in the high 50's and will reach 60, but the rest of the family have been putting up our second cutting of hay so they are tuckered out.

I still have the barre link open in my browser. I wanted to try something from it to see how I liked it. Either that or maybe get walking again. Our road is too busy to walk feeling safe because of the traffic, but we have the "back" 12 acres to walk around. I think my girls said either 2 or 4 trips around is a mile.
