Torticollis, eek.

So I scared the crap out of myself this morning.

I was sleeping when all of a sudden I heard a REALLY loud pop in my neck that woke me up and hurt so much. I seriously just laid there and didn't move for a minute trying to determine if it was possible to break your neck in your sleep. I didn't want to move for fear that I was paralyzed, as silly as that sounds now, lol.

Well, several hours and Vicodin later, this thing STILL hurts but luckily it seems to be a thing called torticollis which is caused from a really hard muscle spasm in the neck.

I literally can't move my neck to the right ‚Äčand hardly up or down. If I try to force it with my finger, it's absolutely like I-will-scream excruciating.

And I'm supposed to be fixing Thanksgiving dinner for me and hubs today since he's off.

Have any of you ever had torticollis? I've heard it doesn't always happen in your sleep but can happen just about any time.

No but it certainly sounds painful.

I had it once. Woke up about the same as you, went to the er. Had to wear a neck brace for 2 days and a couple different meds.
