Time to clean

I swear that this house work is a never ending story! I gotta clean off the table so we can see it again and maybe eat at the table instead of our desk lol! Dishes are never ending as usual but it doesn't take long to clean as long as I have someone to entertain my child. Hoping my mom will meet up with us later during our walk and hang out so I can get those done and get the meatloaf cooking for dinner tonight.
I have my day planned out somewhat. My daughter is taking a nap so i'm dusting and searching for the table, ha ha!

Last night I cleaned the living room then went to clean the kitchen. By the time I got back into the living room it was worse than before I cleaned it! Lol

Update, the mirror and photo frame I had sitting on top of scrapbook stuff slid off and woke her up, now i'm nursing her hoping to get a few more minutes of quiet time.

It is the same here as well, and laundry is the worst of it all! And, when I clean everything, it does not last because as soon as the hubby and my daughter come home, the tornado that follows them sweeps through the entire house. Sometimes I wonder, "Why do I even bother?" No one knows what a trash can is, cups are the most thing I wash (because people take a sip off of one only to get another five minutes later), the laundry is mainly my hubby's and daughters (I can't explain that one...constant changing of clothes, possibly), my daughter's room will not stay clean for longer than ten minutes, and I have a son who is very attached to me.

What can really irk me is when the wash just finishes and someone comes to me with a dirty clothing item. Even though I stated, previously, to place it in the wash because I am starting it. Or when they place a dirty dish in the sink after all the dishes have been washed. Oh, I just love that! It is even better when I had just swept and mopped, only to find food crumbled all over the floor, muddy foot prints, or debris brought in from outside, onto my pretty clean floors. It makes me feel so loved. Haha!!
I know how you feel. It's my everyday life. Lol

We only did that to my mom a few times.. There were only enough cups in the cupboard to use one a day (the rest she LITERALLY locked up somewhere). The laundry, if we came to her with something dirty that we needed the next day and the wash was done, we had to handwash it (that I remember, that happened to my brother once...). She even did that to dad a few times before he stopped being such a mess.

I started giving my kids things to do while i do dishes about that age. Kept them busy and in sight. :) Washing dishes by hand, give them a bowl filled with suds and a few measuring cups. Washing dishes in the dishwasher, let them load the silverware tray (spoons and forks at least). My kids also have pint size brooms (thanks to a relative to broke the handles)... They can 'sweep' the floor while I'm in the kitchen.

I ordered my daughter a broom and dust pan for xmas so she'll have her own to play with. She likes to see me doing the dishes too but its hard to wear her now that she's getting so heavy, ha ha.

Does she stand pretty steady? Put her on a chair beside you. It'll make rinsing interesting, but she'll feel like she's helping and teaching chores that young is a big help.
