My son is at that stage where he wants to get into everything. He knows that when I say no to stop or put it back but he's pushing the limits. Any suggestions on how to get him to listen more or just let this phase pass?
Stay firm and have a consequence. With my ten month old I do a slight tap on the hand if she's reaching for something with a firm 'no' and shaking my head. If that doesn't work after a few times I move her to a different spot and make sure she has toys.
I think consistency is key. A 10 month old is still very much a baby and enjoys exploration. It’s our jobs as parents to provide a safe environment in order to give them the opportunity to explore and learn. What worked well for our son at that age was re-direction.
