Stressed and discouraged.

Today was a bad day. Usually the kids are so well mannered and well behaved. Yet today little miss Sophie didnt want to listen or follow the rules so she didnt get to use the finger paints we made this afternoon. (which turned out with a consistency of pudding, so bummed). Of course that put her into a rage. Emmett seems to feed off Sophie's mood and was a little terror today as well. Tomorrow Sophie has play school and Emmett is spending the morning with his father.

Sorry you had a bad day. Moods can be catching. After your children are in bed tonight do something you enjoy to get your mind off of your bad day. Same goes for tomorrow while your children are out of the house. You will have a brand new outlook if you do. Hugs!

They're both sleeping now and I'm sitting on the computer listening to "Positive Discipline" and looking for activities that can help the kids express themselves. I dont really get time to relax. Tomorrow we'll have breakfast together and then ill go to work for nine and then pick them up from daycare at six. Go home, make dinner, baths and bed. I feel like I dont get enough time with them and though theyre young, theyre resenting me for it. And thats where the bad behavior is coming from. Am i crazy for thinking that?

We all feel like that sometimes, but like Linda said, you can't beat yourself up about it.

Aw.. I am certain you are a wonderful Mom, Laticia.. I know all Mamas have their days.. when it all adds up, when the kiddos moods aren't what they normally are.. don't get down, don't sell yourself short. They sound SUPER lucky to have a Mama that cares like you do.. to be putting them first in every way possible. So many Mamas wish they had more time with their kids.. but they will realize everything you do is for them someday.. you are making it work.. I know it!
