Getting the Daily Ounces of Water

I know there's been a lot of racket about whether or not we need 8 glasses of water a day, or 10, or how it varies depending on if you drink juice, eat raw fruits and veggies, yaddah yaddah.

For the sake of the conversation, let's go with the usually accepted 8 glasses of water a day.

I marked a cup with labelling tape and stick on jewels to measure my water intake through the day, because I'm usually dehydrated and live in the desert. If I could get through two of the big cups, I would reach the goal of 8 glasses a day. Yesterday, I realized I hardly finished the FIRST cup.

So, it's now a goal of mine. I've heard it's one of the healthiest things you can do for yourself.

Do you ladies get the recommended amount of water daily? Tips and tricks?

I get enough water in the spring and summer but this fall has been hard for me to get enough water. I am struggling to drink it even. :( I do like lemon water but know that too much is not suppose to be good for you. Can't remember why though.

Really? I'm gonna have to do a search on this one. I have heard citrus water was super good for cleansing and such. I'd be interested to know the other side of it.

Oh! Lol!!! I was like, omg... you must have one of those wicked double door and drawers chef fridges. I got hubby a 3 gallon dispenser for tea and I had to move the shelves around in my fridge to make it fit, so I was astounded. Make so much more sense now, LOL!

Sounds like you're on top of this game, haha. I like how you space it out and make sure your needs are met.

Oh girl.. water is the bomb and so good for you! Oddly, I have never had a can of soda in my 28 years of life... so literally, all I drink is water! Now that I am preggo I drink even more.. cannot get enough. One trick to use are rubberbands on your water bottle! You can either stack them on from the start and each time you are done, take one off and fill it up again, or vice versa.. a kind lil reminder how much you are taking in :) But honestly.. h2o.. SO many benefits! Awesome challenge for yourself :)

I LOVE the rubberband idea. So simple! And wow! I can't believe you've never had a can of soda. Go you!
