How much of a folic acid do you take when TTC?
My doc told me I should take 800 mcg-1mg. How about you?
400 micrograms of folic acid each day – you should take this from before you are pregnant until you are 12 weeks pregnant
I though folate and folic acid is the same)
Folate is a general term for a group of water soluble b-vitamins, and is also known as B9. Folic acid refers to the oxidized synthetic compound used in dietary supplements and food fortification, whereas folate refers to the various tetrahydrofolate derivatives naturally found in food. So, folate is more natural.
OK, I see, thanks! Good to know.
