How often and how long?

Breasfed babies generally eat more frequently than formula-fed infants. Some newborns need to nurse every two hours; others, every three. As they get older, they are able to go longer between feedings, because heir stomach capacity enlarges and their mothers' milk production increases. What was the feeding schedule for your baby?
Mark had his breast milk every 2 hours, and then every 3 hours, 15 minutes on each breast.

For the first two months Tristen ate every hour day and night and never slept more than a half hour at a time. He ate SO much! But he grew super quickly those first few months too. At about two months it changed to every two hours and stayed that way until we started him on baby food. Then we went every three hours.

Selena started out every 2 hours, then every 3 hours by 6 months, every 4 hours since 9 months to now. Still breastfeeding at 15 months on demand when she wants it. I feed her breakfast, lunch and dinner but she still likes a little breast milk after a meal and before bed. I also breastfeed her back to sleep if she wakes up (after diaper change) at night.

Also I don't time it but it varies on her for how long she'll nurse and I switch to the other side for the next feeding. When she was newborn to 2 months I would have her nurse half hour or less on each, but now its just one side at a time per feeding.

Right now, Grace is about every 3-4 hours maybe 15 minutes total. She eats fast.
