To the moms that answer my tooth post!

I have a few questions, The dental office said I could brush my teeth in 24 hours but they sounded doubtful. Online I have checked and it said to wait 3 days! Eww because rinsing the tooth paste can break the blood clot and get dry socket! Also I drank soda! and read it can cause dry socket too! and I do salt rinses 3 times a day. and use a tooth brush after I eat. Is that enough to keep my mouth clean?

I always brushed and instead of spittin the toothpaste out I just rinsed with water. Just put the water in your mouth and kinda move your head back and forth instead of swishing the water. It looks silly but works. Lol

Thanks, So the toothpaste didn't disturb the blood clot? did you avoided the side of the mouth of the extraction?

I just avoided that area. I brushed all the teeth around it and was always fine. I've done this several times becasue my teeth are pretty bad. I had 5 pulled one time, my wisdom teeth and another one. I lost the blood clot once but that was becasue I left the gauze on too long and then pulled it out with the gauze. Ouch!

Wow what a trooper! I could't do 5 at a time! I will try to brush my teeth before bed hope it wont hurt. The tooth next to the extraction does really hurt thought
