It depends on the child. And as children they tend to have an endless amount of energy. My daughter goes half days to a pre-preschool type of daycare and leaves before nap time happens. She comes home and we are constantly all around the house, with my one year old son running around as well. My kids sleep about 12 hours. 8pm is bath time and by 8:20 they are both in bed, no night time fits, sleep all through the night and wake up 8 on the dot. My son will nap between 12 and 3 depending on when he gets sleepy from all the morning excitement. I think if we didn't have a nighttime routine they would have issues like that, but make no mistake the bedtime routine did not work as well as it does overnight. It took about 2 months of patience lol
