Own bed

Ok. So I am desperate to get Elianna to sleep in her own bed! We DO NOT want to co sleep. But every time we put her in the bassinet she screams and once I get her to sleep she wakes up crying every 30 minutes or so. I don't know what to do. We want our bed:( she hates the swing we have. She will sleep in the car seat. Maybe I should try to get her to sleep in there? I don't know what to do!

Lay her on her tummy on a warm blanket-warm it with your body heat while putting her to sleep. She wants your smell and body heat. That's the only thing that's worked for me. Another possibility could be gas and being upright like she is in a car seat helps that. I'm not sure how you could elevate her in a bassinet, but in a crib I have a pillow under one end of the mattress. Some of mine just want to know i'm close, too.. So I would pat their back or just lay my hand on their back to soothe them.

Thanks Tabitha, I will definitely try that! I think she likes to know we are close

Yes she does! She was in your belly for nine months, she wants your heartbeat and warmth.

I had rough time the first few weeks because my daughter hated being swaddled after the first week she liked her feet uncovered, If you can get this sleep positioner that's comfortable it might help here's a link.

Thank you Lindsay ! I rolled a towel and put it under the mattress and I've put her there to sleep for each nap today. Now hopefully she will do OK tonight. She cried a bit but not as much as I thought

I wish I would have known about that when my son was born. I bookmarked it for the second baby. Lol

It looks like the ladies already covered the ideas I had. You can purchase a crib wedge that should fit in bassinets as well. We brought one because of my son's heart condition to help elevate him.

Heating her bed with the heating pad seems to do the trick! I heat it, pat her then lay her down. Then she falls asleep. Sometimes she fusses but not for too long. Then she falls asleep. At least most of the time!

We had that same issue with James. He didn't like sleeping in his own bed at first, but we slowly got him used to it. A lot of the time he would wake up and not want to go back to bed until one of us cuddled with him. David and I found that if all three of us snuggle in our bed about a half hour before James bedtime, then we wrap him in the blanket we were using helps James fall asleep better.
