how can I take static out of clothes?

I bought Elise a whole bunch of pajamas at Sears and every time she puts them on it gives her static and I can see her glowing at night time :( they are in the washer now. Any ideas???

I read that you can rub a dryer sheet (like Cling) over the material. I've never tried it, though.

I use homemade wool dryer balls.

Also, I found this article the other day.

If you spray a light mist of water from a spray bottle on the clothes after they are dry then it will break the static charge. Also put lotion on the skin helps and then rubbing a little lotion on the outside of the clothes helps too. We have a huge static problem here too.
