is it possible to overfeed your baby

My son when he was a baby never refused food. I also breastfed him for 18 months. Our pediatrician was concerning about his weight, but I wasn't worry about because I know that weight of a baby has a lot to do with genetics.I knew my son will start to lose weight when he begins to move around, so I saw the extra fat stores as extra energy reserves:)) Everyone said I overfed my baby, is it possible?

I don't think it is possible to overfeed a baby who is breastfed. People who suggest such a thing do not understand breastmilk. I never had that problem, most of mine were skinny minnies like their daddy.

I think with junk food or formula it might be possible but I certainly wouldn't be concerned about it while they were babies and toddlers. I think that is just plain ridiculous and agree with you that their fat stores are extra energy reserves!
