postnatal depression??

Went for a check up last week, I have postnatal depression, I know its common but this being my first time experiencing this, does anyone have any advice?

I'm sorry you have to deal with this. Start by reminding yourself that there is no such thing as the perfect mother. As long as you try to do your best, that is all that anyone can reasonably expect of you at this difficult time.

Here are some tips to help you cope:
    1. avoid becoming isolated and try to get out of the house at least once every day

    2. Make sure you receive as much domestic help as possible.

    3. Regular gentle exercises and plenty of fresh air will do wonders for your sense of wellbieng.

    4. Talk to your partner, friends, family and make sure they understand your feelings and help support you practically and emotionally.
I've never dealt with it either. Hugs momma, I know you arent alone.Elena's suggestions look aweeom
Um stupid phone... Awesome lol. Magnesium, ashawaganda root are herbal supplements that help with the imbalance and are safe for breastfeeding (if you are). Walnuts, a 1/2 cup a day, are also a natural antidepressant.
